Curriculum Design
The Aberdeen EMBA program focuses on cultivating students' ability to fully operate modern business and establish strategic business thinking. It uses modern management science and extensive business case studies to familiarize students with the challenges they may face in the operation of enterprises, and thus to guide students to explore solutions, and to build strategic thinking and overall operational capabilities.
The course emphasizes the cultivation of students' global vision. Through case studies on international business giants and seminars with students from different countries, students will develop an international perspective.
They should also be familiar with the important business rules and accounting standards of leading commercial countries in the world and be able to face challenges in a globalized environment.
The course emphasizes the cultivation of students' ability to lead innovation. Students need to understand the development trend of world business and the influence of the latest technological development, such as big data and artificial intelligence on business operations in order to be equipped with the ability to drive innovation.
Assessment
The assessment of the coursework includes in-class performance and assignments.
The form of assignments may include research paper, essay questions, multiple choices, presentations, etc.
15 credits are given for each compulsory module while 45 credits for the practical intervention project, and the credits can only be obtained by getting a pass in every module. (180 credits in total)
Schedule Design
The schedule of this program is designed to accommodate the needs of busy business people, a typical core module includes three days of face-to-face lectures (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), evening group discussions and webinar. Meanwhile, students need to complete assignments by studying on their MyAberdeen portal.

In the study of core modules, students will learn the latest management theories and conduct a large number of case studies, group discussions and tutorials
In the practice workshops, students will gather to research the real companies’ current problems and propose solutions.
In the practical intervention project, students need to use the knowledge they have learned to simulate a business practice project and achieve success.
At the beginning, the program orientation will be delivered to enable students have comprehensive understanding of the whole program, and an ice break event will be hold as well.
